Colin wants to spend the Christmas holiday with his family, but a blizzard settles in and his flight is cancelled. Unwilling to accept this, he strikes out on his own and crashes his car. Where he ends up might be better than where he was going, though.

Logan was content to wait out the blizzard and spend the holiday alone, but when a frozen-solid Colin ends up on his doorstep, he’s not going to turn him away. He takes him in and shows him Christmas spent with a stranger really doesn’t have to be awkward after all.

A story from the Dreamspinner Press 2015 Advent Calendar package "Sleigh Ride".

A Trip to Remember 2015 Advent Calendar Sleigh Ride edition by Meg Harding Literature Fiction eBooks

This was a super cute story where Colin, on his way to his family, crashes his car when driving through a blizzard then decides to walk as far as he can. Thankfully, he ends up on Logan’s porch who’s more than willing to let Colin stick around while the blizzard passes. What starts as strangers stuck together turns into much more especially when Logan takes it upon himself to show Colin how Christmas is really done.

At first, I thought Colin was a complete idiot. I mean, I’ve never driven in snow but I know that blizzards are not something you want to drive in but then he grew on me. I loved that he hated Christmas movies but watched them anyway because Logan loved them. At the same time, I just adored Logan and his cheery attitude. I loved this one but there was way too much foreplay for me. Logan loved kissing and that usually meant both of them being felt up. And even though they only had anal scene, it just happened way to much for my tastes.

In the end, though, I really enjoyed this one. I loved that Logan and Colin hit it off so well considering they were strangers stuck together for a few days and I just adored how they circled around each other at first. Looking forward to reading more by this author!!

Logan and Colin have great chemistry and the banter between the two of them is hilarious. They totally bring the magic of Christmas to you.
4.5 Stars

I love this story it was really cute and sometimes I’m into really cute stories, they are a great was to pass the time. I love the stranded in a blizzard type story, this enable to couple to really get to know each other. Although this was a short story the author was able to take Logan and Colin and develop them into a believable story.

I received a free copy of this book to read for Inked Rainbow Reads in exchange for an honest review.
“Rather than getting up, Logan leaned down over him. He dragged his thumb along Colin’s bottom lip. Colin tried to bite it. Laughing, he pulled away and finally removed his @ss from Colin’s stomach. He scooted down to sit on his thighs.”

4 trip worthy stars!! Fun, sexy and exciting is how I’d describe this short read!!

Yeah I know another stranded in the snow story. But I loved this version so much!! It was hot and to the point! Yes it was a short read, but that made it all the better. It was packed full of intense chemistry and so worth the read!!
Colin is really looking forward to spending Christmas with his family, and he's not going to let the blizzard that cancelled his flight stand in his way. He sets out in his car, driving carefully, but that doesn't work out for him, either. He finds himself in a ditch, freezing, with nowhere to go. Knowing he can't stay in his car, he gathers his luggage and treks to the nearest house he can find. And he's surprised to find Logan, an attractive fitness instructor, at the door. Logan invites Colin in and helps him warm up, willingly allowing him to stay until the blizzard passes. Although they start the weekend as strangers, spending time in close quarters helps them learn more about each other and become fast friends. And while it's still cold outside, it doesn't take long for things to heat up inside the house.

This is a fun and sweet story that really shines. It's not long, but the author does a great job of using every word and every page with purpose. And even though we only see Colin and Logan for a short time from beginning to end, things never feel rushed or overly constructed in their interactions. I definitely found myself wanting more from these characters. What happens next?
“See your disappointments as good fortune. One plan's deflation is another's inflation.” ~Jean Cocteau, Diary of an Unknown

After a disappointing Christmas last year, Colin, of 'A Trip to Remember' by Meg Harding, is really looking forward to being with his family this year. Unfortunately the weather isn't cooperating. There's a blizzard raging outside and Colin's emotions go from disappointed to angry and determined. Since his flight is grounded, but Colin is not going to let anything stop him from seeing his family, he decides to try to drive there instead of flying. One way or the other, this will be a trip to remember.

As soon as Colin steps outside, he begins to question his judgement, but forges ahead. He digs his car out and drives off. Colin comes face-to-face with just how treacherous road conditions are. The next thing Colin knows, he's spinning out of control. When the spinning stops, he ends up in a ditch injured and bleeding. Colin knows he can't stay there or he will freeze, so he starts walking. He finally finds a home. With the last of his strength, Colin struggles up the driveway. Colin knocks and the door opens just as his world goes black.

When Colin opens his eyes he's inside. The owner of the house has taken measures to help Colin warm up, but isn't too sympathetic about Colin's reason for walking out in a blizzard. When Colin finally asks what his name is he tells him “It's Logan, and yours? I've been calling your Popsicle in my head.” As time goes by, Colin is still pouting about his condition and his spoiled trip and sounds a bit ungrateful. But Logan's family was suppose to come be with him for Christmas and couldn't either. Logan's intent is not to play nursemaid to Colin, but he turns out to be pathetically bad at taking care of himself so Logan takes over. As Colin begins to feel better, their verbal interaction turns from harsh to teasing with some sexual innuendos mixed in. Christmas isn't anything like they are expecting, but it's an experience nonetheless.

Even though their relationship progressed obscenely fast, it worked. I loved the way Logan didn't let Colin get away with feeling sorry for himself and how he kept reminding Colin that he wasn't the only one who was in the situation of not being with family. I loved their banter back and forth which took different forms from strict “judgement”, to lectures about commonsense and priorities, to an understanding, emotional flow. If you like stories with handsome men, screwed-up plans, and having a great Christmas although it wasn't one either man expected, you may enjoy this holiday read. Thanks, Meg! It's a great story.
